
SPRING is the Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster, formally recognised as a component of the national bioeconomy steering committee, focusing on i) coordinating industrial research policies at local and national levels, ii) linking the measures promoted at central and regional levels, iii) a strategic tool to facilitate the implementation and use of interventions in Southern Italian regions.
SPRING is in strict contact with policymakers by participating in the national coordinating group on bioeconomy (Presidency of the Council of Ministers), supporting the revision and implementation of regional smart specialization strategies and the creation of the permanent table of SPRING regions. SPRING encourage the creation of national and international partnerships by organising events (e.g. International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, the Bioeconomy Day and BioInvestIT).
Partner role in BioINSouth
SPRING will lead WP1 serving as BioINSouth coordinator, while also actively participating in other WPs (WP2. WP3, WP5, WP6 and WP7). It is also the leader of Task 3.2 and Task 5.3.
